Welcome to Nyashu ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you understand how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information when you use our AI companion application (the "App").

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using Nyashu, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

  • Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials (via Google or Apple Sign-In).
  • Chat Messages: The messages you send and receive within the App are stored to provide the companion experience.
  • User Preferences: Your selected companion character, display settings, and app preferences.
  • Memory Data: Information you share during conversations that our AI remembers to personalize your experience (such as your name, interests, or important dates you mention).
  • Device Information: Basic device information such as device type, operating system version, and app version for troubleshooting and optimization.
  • Usage Analytics: Anonymous usage statistics to help us improve the App.

2. How Data Is Used

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and maintain the AI companion service
  • Personalize conversations and remember context from previous chats
  • Process your messages through AI models to generate responses
  • Improve and optimize the App's performance and user experience
  • Send important service-related notifications
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Use
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. Chat Data & AI Processing

Your chat messages are processed by Large Language Model (LLM) APIs to generate AI responses. We use industry-standard AI services to power Nyashu's conversational abilities.

Important: While conversations are processed through AI services, we do not use your personal conversations to train AI models. Your chats are processed solely to provide you with personalized responses within the App.

Messages may be temporarily cached on our servers for performance optimization and to maintain conversation context, but we implement strong security measures to protect this data.

4. Memory Storage

Nyashu features a personalized memory system that remembers important information you share during conversations, such as:

  • Your name and how you prefer to be addressed
  • Your interests, hobbies, and preferences
  • Important dates or events you mention
  • Topics and context from previous conversations

This memory data is stored securely on our servers and is used exclusively to enhance your companion experience. You can request deletion of this memory data at any time (see Section 7).

5. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate Nyashu:

  • Supabase: For secure database storage and user authentication.
  • Google Cloud APIs: For authentication (Google Sign-In) and cloud infrastructure.
  • Apple Sign-In: For iOS user authentication.
  • LLM API Providers: For AI-powered chat responses (such as Google AI, OpenAI, or similar services).

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review their policies. We only share the minimum data necessary for these services to function.

6. User Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: You can update or correct your account information within the App.
  • Deletion: You can request complete deletion of your account and all associated data.
  • Restriction: You can request that we limit how we use your data.
  • Portability: You can request your data in a portable format.
  • Objection: You can object to specific uses of your data.

7. Data Deletion

You can delete your Nyashu account at any time through the Settings section of the App. When you delete your account:

  • All your chat messages will be permanently deleted
  • All stored memories and personal preferences will be removed
  • Your authentication credentials will be deleted from our systems
  • This process is irreversible

Please note that it may take up to 30 days for all data to be completely removed from our backup systems. During this period, your data will not be accessible or used in any way.

If you cannot access the App, you may request account deletion by emailing info@applotictech.com from the email address associated with your account.

8. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL)
  • Secure authentication protocols
  • Regular security audits and updates
  • Access controls limiting who can view your data
  • Row-level security in our database systems

While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but are committed to maintaining industry-standard protections.

9. Children's Privacy

Nyashu is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately, and we will delete such information.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
